Recording started on 9th i think. We were supposed to practice our darned parts before that sunday but lawl being lawl, we din give a shit. They came to my place in the morning and it was the three of us working or asses off. That was plan A but as always, plan A is just for show and to hide the true intentions of plan B. Having said that, my room was packed with not three, not four, not five, but six pieces of critters! Haw Yang and another two people who zwee brought over (not mentioned for national security, whatever that means!) joined zwee and I as we watched jebat record his parts. WATCHED. Which isn't a bad thing cos jeb could only make it for two sessions. The rest of us pretty much vommited gibberish and disturbed world peace while jebat kept shushing us.
The next sunday, it was the same thing but with quan and kit over. They slept over at zwee's the night before and had nowhere to go. I couldn't leave them outside by the road cos I'm such a nice person. With their presence, some of the tracks have traces of their voices and farts. The one i clearly remember with their voice in it is the intro of track 5. The day went by just like the first session did. Jeb spent the whole 2 hours inputing the vocals and guitar parts while the rest did a foursome, though sadly it was non-sexual..... =(
On the 23rd, however.....or was it 30th? Can't remember , but whatever the day was, recording was pretty much done except for the final track. Its a no-nonsense track so zwee n I called yi shen the smart ass, dom-d-hood, Angster-X and kah shin over to be part of the track. We wanted more people but like Haw Yang says, "Masa itu mencemburui kita". Unfortunately, with this bunch of bananas, the only no-nonsense track became THE nonsense track.
The rest of the days were spent on mixing, editing and recording some bits and pieces of zwee's and my parts which took much longer than i expected. Oh! now i remember...the date was 23rd, not 30th. Cos the damned editing, mixing and effects work was done until the 29th. Then there was the volumizing to balance the different instruments.
The recording of Zwee's and my parts was pretty easy though cos we've done that track before. Its the only track with a remix. On the gloomy night of 29th, where the mist hung in the air, I rushed through the mastering of the tracks which included making all the tracks the same volume so that when u guys listen to it u wont go deaf due to the sudden increase in volume from one song to the next.
30th, went to jeb's place for lessons in the morning and we sampled the very first "complete product" of the album there and then. He turned the volume so low that i could barely hear nuts cos some of the lyrics was not suitable for parents.
